At Post Knott Lodge, we are committed to adhering to UK law and government guidelines in accordance with the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please take the time to read our COVID-19 policy before making a booking.

We are delighted to be welcoming guests to stay with us at Post Knott Lodge. We will, of course, be returning to a new normal, one for which we are well prepared with new, detailed cleaning and sanitising protocols. These are to ensure the health, safety and security of our guests, contractors and the local community.

In confirming a reservation, you acknowledge that the measures implemented by Post Knott Lodge to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 place personal responsibility on you for adhering to the requirements including, but not limited to, those relating to social distancing, social gatherings in accordance with the rule of six, personal hygiene, the wearing of face coverings, NHS track and trace requirements, testing and reporting health issues in accordance with government guidelines.

You also agree to adhere to any local lockdown rules which apply at the time of your booking, details of which can be viewed here – Government local lockdown guide. You accept that these provisions are required to protect the health and wellbeing of yourself, your family, fellow Guests and Team Members at Post Knott Lodge. You understand that failure to comply with any of these requirements is a serious matter and may result in you being requested to leave Post Knott Lodge. Should government rules, or any other extreme circumstance, require, you may be required to leave your accommodation immediately, for example in the case of a lockdown.

If travel restrictions prevent you and your party from being able to travel out of your area, into Cumbria or nationally, a full refund or reschedule will be offered. 

If travel restrictions change after you have booked your holiday, e.g. limited households or number of guests able to stay together, and you contact us after 2 working days of the announcement, we can offer a discount proportionate to the reduction in guests to a maximum of 50% reduction.

If you experience symptoms whilst staying with us you and your party will be required to depart the property immediately. All party members must return to their homes to isolate. This must be reported to bookings@postknottlodge.co.uk to ensure the necessary procedures can be carried out.

Increased cleaning measures mean we will not allow for early arrival and late departures under any circumstances. The arrival of guests is required to be no earlier than 4pm. The departure of guests is required to be no later than 10am.

Post Knott Lodge may occasionally update this COVID-19 Policy to reflect UK law and UK government guidelines. This policy was last updated in May 2021.
